PREPARE FOR THE SEASON AND
IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS Hastings Parks & Rec presents two clinics for players 9 and up
FIELDING & THROWING CLINIC
CATCHING CLINIC
 Hastings Parks and Rec will be hosting two Clinics - Saturday, April 17 and May 1st to help players 9 to 15 prepare for the upcoming season. These baseball clinics are designed to prepare Hastings area youth for the upcoming baseball draft and baseball season. The fielding clinic will focus on proper fielding position, fielding movement, and "soft hands." The throwing portion will focus on proper grip, proper arm movement, targeting and follow through. The catching clinic will focus on the same fundamentals at the catcher location. All clinics will be taught by experienced baseball instructors. The clinics will be $18/player and will be held at the Smith Softball Complex. These clinics are open to ages 9 and up. REGISTER ON LINE AT www.cityofhastings.org/parks

Portable Pitching Mounds for "A" League
Babe Ruth Rules have 11 and 12 year olds pitching off of a mound. At
our November retreat, the Hastings Baseball Committee authorized the
purchase of two portable pitching mounds to be used in "A" League.
These will be stored in the building between North and South Rec Fields
and need to be put away each night after games or practice. Funds from
the Hitting Skills Competition were used to purchase these mounds. |
